Outer Reef Yachts

It's pure and simple: Offer the best quality product available to the Yachting market at a competitive price, build and retain client base. To achieve this, we at Outer Reef adhere to the following guidelines when manufacturing and marketing an Outer Reef.

At Outer Reef we strive for perfection and constant improvement in the product line. We are relentless and are never happy with the status quo. We do not wait for clients to offer improvements to the product line, we aggressively look for ways to improve our Yachts. For example, when developing the Outer Reef 73 series, we made 172 changes and improvements from the start of the tooling on the line through the completion of hull.

This philosophy of constant improvement enhances the value of all Outer Reefs. We also value the input of our clients who make constructive suggestions to an improvement in the line. Any improvements that are suggested and validated as an improvement are instituted into the line immediately, even if the hull is under construction and at no cost to the client. This ensures the client has the most up to date Yacht in terms of equipment and features and further enhances the value of the clients yacht. Also at Outer Reef, unlike most of our competitors, we are very accommodating to our clients needs for a custom or modified arrangement plan or interior. Purchasing an Outer Reef represents a substantial investment, and we feel that the client should have it their way.

We do not sacrifice safety and comfort for speed. An Outer Reef is designed for comfortable passages in less than ideal conditions. A lesser displacement hull cannot match the comfort and therefore the safety of an Outer Reef. Cruising is about the journey and not necessarily the destination. The comfort and quiet ride of an Outer Reef is second to none. If you are looking for speed vs. comfort, an Outer Reef is not for you. That is not to say that an Outer Reef cannot go fast, but the fuel burn associated with extremely large engines in conflict with the cruising philosophy.

Outer Reef has not followed the growing trend of many Asian boat manufacturers by moving their operations to China. In fact we are again expanding our facilities in Taiwan to meet the demand of our premier product line. Outer Reef is committed to uncompromised quality and will not sacrifice the flawless expertise of many generations of shipwrights and mechanical technicians for the sake of reducing costs. There are those who will not settle for anything less than perfection, for those, Outer Reef exemplifies this quest.

The most important philosophy of Outer Reef Yachts is client satisfaction. In the world of turn around mass production, we value our customers and are humbled by the fact we are nothing without our customers. We have built Outer Reef Yachts around the concept of the move up and return client, which is evidenced by our line from 55' to 115'.

We at Outer Reef live by a couple of old clichés: "If you don't take care of your customer, someone else will" and "The customer is always right". This may sound corny, but this is no less true today than when these phrases were coined many years ago. Our goal at Outer Reef Yachts is to have YOU join our ever growing "Family" of Outer Reef owners.
